We support an underprivileged creche in Diepsloot. Despite their low fees (R200-R300pm – a tenth of suburban schools), many of the parents cannot afford it and the creche sponsors these children in their own capacity. We are drawing alongside this creche to sponsor specific children, and in turn they can take in more children that cannot afford the fees.
Children at the creche receive 2 meals a day and a snack, and have a safe place to stay from 6am-6pm while their parents work/look for work.
Below are some of the children needing sponsorship.
If you would like to get involved in other ways, consider hosting a birthday party, visiting with us (last Friday of every month) or buying something special for the teachers.
This is Thabang, aged 5. His mother is sick, and his father disappeared while his mom was pregnant with him. Donations provide for crèche care, which includes 2 meals a day and a snack, basic education and a safe place for the child.
This is Mondli who is just 9 months of age. He has a young mother who is trying to finish school (she is 17). Because they are not South African, they are unable to get any grants. Donations provide for crèche care, which includes 2 meals a day and a snack, basic education and a safe place for the child.
