Last Saturday, Khensani’s Collection hosted a dynamic event combining crucial environmental action with essential community care, driven by incredible volunteers. The day was a powerful demonstration of how collective effort creates significant, tangible change for both our planet and our children.

300 Eco-Bricks: Waste Transformed

Our primary focus was turning plastic litter into resources. Volunteers, including the enthusiastic children from Khensani’s Collection, worked tirelessly to create an amazing 300 eco-bricks. These dense, reusable blocks will prevent plastic pollution and be used for future building projects in our community.

This impressive achievement was made possible by a dedicated team: the Khensani children, members of the Rotary Club of Morningside, students from Steyn City School and the American International School of Johannesburg, Khensani Interact Club members, and masters students from Wits and Pretoria University. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time and effort.

Dignity and Generosity

The event also focused on providing dignity through essential supplies. We distributed much-needed sanitary pads and comfort packs, thanks to the immense generosity of our partners.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the Yes We Can Business Women Network, the Rotary Club of Morningside, and Steyn City School. Their donations ensure the young people at Khensani’s Collection have access to vital hygiene and comfort items, enabling them to concentrate fully on their education and growth.

Every packed bottle and every donated item makes a profound difference.

If you like the work we're doing, please consider donating time or resources.
