The main focus of our Ecobrick project is to help alleviate pollution that is caused by plastic litter which is contributing to climate change.
Plastic is among the most significant and rapidly growing sources of industrial greenhouse gas emissions. The pollution when ingested causes diseases like cancer, diabetes, depression, heart disease, and accelerated ageing. An Ecobrick is created by filling a plastic bottle with clean, dry unrecyclable plastic until it’s packed tightly and can be used as a building block.
Khensani’s Collection is building a classroom with Ecobrick as part of its contribution to raising awareness about plastic pollution and how plastic can be turned into useful cost-effective building material. The extra classroom will create more learning space for our students who are learning in one crowded classroom.
